TWO Worcestershire businessmen face a tense final wait to find out if they have been successful in the 2012 Midlands Business Awards.

The judges’ verdict will be revealed at a gala awards ceremony on Friday night at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham, where celebrity chef Alan Coxon and company boss Paul Busby will be among 47 finalists competing in nine categories, which bring together the best of Midlands business.

Evesham-based Mr Coxon’s business, Coxon’s Kitchen, has been shortlisted in the Midlands Exporter of the Year category, while he is also among the contenders for the Midlands Entrepreneur of the Year title – a category for which Mr Busby, from Bromsgrove, is also in the running.

The chef, TV presenter, author and food archaeologist’s love of culinary history helps to bring alive the historic originations of everyday ingredients and he has been exporting products using Roman recipes to Italy.

Mr Busby and his business Viezu Technology are potentially in line for a hat-trick of awards.

The firm is a world leader in vehicle tuning; its programming files and products have been developed over 20 years of hands-on experience and tested both in the lab and on the road.

It is down to the final five in the Midlands Exporter of the Year and chief executive Mr Busby has gone through to the final for the Innovation and the Entrepreneur of the Year categories.

Car Tuning and ECU Remapping Training in Dubai

For the third year running 2012 sees the Viezu team return to the Dubai Automechanika show. This year for the first time ever, not only will the team be on hand at the show to discuss tuning tools, rolling road tuning, ecu remapping, master tuning systems tools and dealer support, but the Viezu Technical Academy will be holding 3 days of exclusive Car tuning training and ecu remapping courses after the show in Dubai.

The Dubai course is a full basic – master class, we have adapted the normal course material to be as specific to the local market as possible, we will be covering from the very basics of vehicle set up and OE ECU map writing, to advanced tuning for modifications and custom ecu tuning file writing. The course will be a fun and lively mix of classroom activities and live dyno tuning. Vehicles covered will include European marques such as Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, VW, Audi and Ferrari, and also Nissan, Subaru and Mitsubishi map writing and training.

Software and map writing programs will be provided for the training, and the methods and processes trained can be applied to most tuning software, and we also offer post course technical support too.

As we start the New Year, a year which will continue to see Viezu grow and the introduction of a number of business improvements, we would like to formally announce the appointment of our new General Manager Alasdair Maclachlan.
Alasdair joins us with a wealth of experience in Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, gained throughout a career in the Automotive industry. Alasdair will be responsible for the day to day running of Viezu, ensuring consistent and industry leading dealer support.

This Saturday saw the Viezu and Chrysler 300C Dyno and tuning day, and boy was it a good day. Viezu already has a great reputation for tuning and remapping the Chrysler 300c, so now it was time to open our doors and have some fun
