TWO Worcestershire businessmen face a tense final wait to find out if they have been successful in the 2012 Midlands Business Awards.
The judges’ verdict will be revealed at a gala awards ceremony on Friday night at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Birmingham, where celebrity chef Alan Coxon and company boss Paul Busby will be among 47 finalists competing in nine categories, which bring together the best of Midlands business.
Evesham-based Mr Coxon’s business, Coxon’s Kitchen, has been shortlisted in the Midlands Exporter of the Year category, while he is also among the contenders for the Midlands Entrepreneur of the Year title – a category for which Mr Busby, from Bromsgrove, is also in the running.
The chef, TV presenter, author and food archaeologist’s love of culinary history helps to bring alive the historic originations of everyday ingredients and he has been exporting products using Roman recipes to Italy.
Mr Busby and his business Viezu Technology are potentially in line for a hat-trick of awards.
The firm is a world leader in vehicle tuning; its programming files and products have been developed over 20 years of hands-on experience and tested both in the lab and on the road.
It is down to the final five in the Midlands Exporter of the Year and chief executive Mr Busby has gone through to the final for the Innovation and the Entrepreneur of the Year categories.

New Man on the Bridge!
As we start the New Year, a year which will continue to see Viezu grow and the introduction of a number of business improvements, we would like to formally announce the appointment of our new General Manager Alasdair Maclachlan.
Alasdair joins us with a wealth of experience in Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, gained throughout a career in the Automotive industry. Alasdair will be responsible for the day to day running of Viezu, ensuring consistent and industry leading dealer support.
2012 is set to be very exciting, we have new shows booked, a great new range of Dynos and rolling roads from Mustang, a new web site, too many new products, services, and vehicle coverage to list and a whole stack of awards we are nominated for in the coming months. Not to mention ISO accreditation. So it looks like Alasdair is going to have his hands full!
We are sure you’ll agree Alasdair’s appointment demonstrates Viezu’s continued growth and is the first step in 2012’s continual progression. Please join us in welcoming Alasdair to the Viezu family.

We are already well under way with our 2012 plans, which will include some amazing new tuning products, covering new cars, a new fantastic range of rolling roads for sale, a brand new website, with more information than ever before. We have lost of new development vehicles lined up and we have just recruited 3 new staff, so the team is stronger than ever, offering better customer and dealer support
In February we hope to be the first ISO registered tuning company, and we are up for a whole host of new Awards too.

New developments, we have just released our new BMW 118d Tuning map. The BMW is a very popular vehicle to be tuned. Viezu can now give very significant additional power and torque completely transforming the BMW Diesel. The new Viezu tuning software remaps the BMW ECU adding an addition 40bhp. Tests have shown that ECU tuning on the BMW can also deliver impressive fuel savings rewarding the driver with up to an additional 15%. Viezu is constantly developing and improving its ECU tuning services. All development work is carried out in Viezu’s state of the art environmentally controlled Dyno cell, which houses Viezu’s 3000bhp rolling road and emission testing station. Good news, Viezu has just released their new Range Rover TDV8 Tuning map. The Range Rover TDV8 is a very popular vehicle to be tuned. Viezu can now give very significant additional power and torque completely transforming the TDV8 Diesel Range Rover.
The new Viezu tuning software remaps the Range Rover’s ECU adding an addition 65bhp. Tests have shown that ECU tuning on the Range Rover can also deliver impressive fuel savings rewarding the driver with up to an additional 4mpg.
As well as Range rover TDV8 tuning, Viezu can tune all Range Rover Models including the new Range Rover 5.0 and 4.2 supercharged engines. The Petrol 5.0 Range Rover tunes very well and the addition of a modified supercharger pulley can see power increases in the region of 50+ bhp and significant gains in torque

Friday 4th June saw the grand opening on Quayside Mansory in Liverpool – Viezu’s new North West flag ship tuning dealer. It was a grand affair, the rich, famous, pop stars and footballers were there, but there is only one Mansory Porsche Panamera in the UK and it stole all the lime light. There are not many dealer launch events where we get to tune 2 Bentleys’, a C63 Black, a new M3 and a 911 TT
